Charity case 3: Ms Duong Thi Phuong

In May 2017, at Hanoi Children’s Hospital, representatives from PHUCBINH DONATION sponsored the heart surgery of Duong Thi Phuong with an amount of more than 6 million VND.

Duong Thi Phuong – the Mong ethnic, was 6 years old but she weighs only 15 kg. Her limbs are deformed due to “Fatal Fallot” – this is a complex and very common congenital heart defect, with 4 defects  (so called tetralogy). The median age of these children (if untreated) is 10 years, rarely living to adulthood. Both of her parents can’t speak Kinh (Vietnamese). In the whole family, only her grandfather can speak a little. He took her to the district hospital, then followed the ambulance to the province, then followed her down to the National Children’s Hospital. Even now, her grandfather doesn’t know where he is and how his grandson will be saved.

Duong Thi Phuonng and her grandfather haven’t money so they must stay in the hospital’s guesthouse and rely on the love porridge to live through the day.

After finding out information, the PHUCBINH DONATION Fund decided to sponsor the Phuong’s surgery with an amount of more than 6 million VND (after deducting health insurance). At the same time, PHUCBINH DONATION also supports living and accommodation expenses for the two grandchildren.
